The purpose of this study is to understand experiences and changes of people with mental health problems who participated in the ¡®dubbing project¡¯ for improving awareness of mental disorders conducted for 3 years. Using a generic qualitative research method with in-depth interviews with 8 participants, 6 themes, 24 sub-themes, and 117 semantic units were drawn. A total of six themes are ¡®participate in the dubbing project after passing the audition¡¯, ¡®challenge and rebirth¡¯, ¡®share thoughts and feelings and sympathize¡¯, ¡®find me¡¯, ¡®People who are with me growing up¡¯, and ¡®a new challenge to make life into color paintings¡¯. On the other hand, in-depth interviews were conducted with three people, including two mental health social workers and one professional instructor, and were used as data for interpretation of the results of this study. The research results suggest the meaning of the ¡®dubbing project¡¯ as a community integration program for the mentally disabled based on the recovery model and the direction of the future awareness improvement program of mental disorders.
